Together with Palm Pictures and the directors Label series, Specialten curates a series of late night premieres. The work of Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry and Chris Cunningham in an exclusive 90 minute cut is screened across 15 independent Uk cinemas.

Commissioned by Diesel, Specialten delivers a series of short films by award winning directors to mobile telephones using a viral network of customers.

In advance of it’s international release Specialten is selected to curate a list of ‘guests’ that are considered key individuals for the marketing placement to receive an advance copy of the album as a gift from Domino Records Ltd.

In an advertorial showcase Specialten orchestrates an advance screening of the film “The Devil & Daniel Johnston”. This is tied in with a feature on Specialten issue #13, also included within the same issue is a limited edition print from the artist himself.

A plan is developed by Specialten to place music by “The Kills” to an audience highly regarded within the fashion industry worldwide. The result is that the first single is used as the opening track for a world renowned Fashion designer for his Paris Catwalk show. Show music tracklists are left for every journalist, subsequent press credits arrive, including the most highly regarded of all; the New York Times by Suzy Menkes.

Specialten creates a compilation album for the Soho Hotel London. The album featuring tracks by Jose Gonsales, Massive Attack, and Brian Eno is selected in the top 3 Hotel compilations of the world by Gq magazine.

Specialten creates an advance screening for “Tideland” by Oscar winning director Terry Gilliam. In an event arranged an hosted by Specialten 100 hand picked guests are treated to an advance screening of the film introduced by the director himself. This screening is tied in with an interview with Terry Gilliam and also a Ltd edition print, both in the coinciding issue of Specialten.

Specialten curates a marketing plan for Warp Records for the launch of “Warp Vision”, screening a never shown before video from Aphex Twin, as well a trailer for “Warp Vision” in 10 independent Uk cinemas.

Specialten has been selected by Visionaire as one of the most innovative and influential magazines of current times.
It will feature alongside publications like Andy Warhol’s Interview, The Face, Nova and i-D at the Visionaire Gallery in New York. The gallery will display and sell the entire back catalogue of Specialten.
